Distant Crossing

This painting was inspired from a place in the Utah west desert, a place that feels both vast and full of mystery. Once, this spot was alive with activity, but now it’s quiet—left to the imagination of what once was. I discovered it while on a field trip exploring Northern Utah, and the contrast of history and silence struck me deeply. That sense of space, memory, and wonder inspired me to bring it to life in watercolor.
