Silo Sisters

Silo Sisters presents a quiet farm moment — two weathered grain silos beside an old barn, light softening the corrugated roof and grasses along the drive; the simple shapes and light define texture.

Inspired by a day out painting with some friends. We found this wonderful barnyard with many inspiring things to paint. With layered transparent washes and delicate brushwork, the piece suggests sun-faded metal, rough boards, and fields of grass without heavy detail. Saving white highlights I used subtle washes to keep the mood airy yet grounded. t makes a calm, quietly expressive addition to a living room, hallway, or study.
